Fresh off the bottling line, RoadTrip #4 New England IPA, was brewed locally with our friends in Hope Brewing. After initial conversations with the ever enthusiastic Wim and Des, founders of Hope Brewing, we worked closely with Mark Nixon their head brewer and developed this recipe after really enjoying a number of the 'new wave' of softer, juicier style of IPA's currently being released. We added some oats and wheat in the mash to help achieve the hazy appearance and creamy mouthfeel typical of the style. In order to maintain the softer profile we used very little bittering hops in the boil and the majority of additions were dry hop additions after fermentation resulting in pronounced aromas and soft, creamy, juicy palate. We hope ;) you like it as much as we do!
