Commercial Description: The second in our range of ’Brewer’s Series’ bottled seasonal beers, Comeragh Challenger is a traditional, English-style bitter hopped solely with Challenger hops. The malty profile and floral hops make for an elegant and understated ale. Traditionally, English bitters are made with the very hard water profile which occurs at Burton-on-Trent, the home of brewing in England. In West Waterford, the hard water profile means flavours of the English bitter style can be replicated. Coupled with this, the beer is hopped solely with Challenger hops, an English hop used in many traditional bitters. At 3.8%, this is an easy-drinking beer that will be perfect for summer barbeque days!
Tasting notes: An English-style pale ale which is brewed using the naturally ocurring hard water of West Waterford and hopped solely with Challenger hops to produce a traditional bitter. The malty profile and floral hops make for an elegant and understated ale. Bottle conditioned beer.
Best served at 10-12°C, or chilled if preferred. Suitable for Vegans.
